Deco Pic is a young camera application which you enjoy capturing photos or videos with various stickers.
It provides a number of user-friendly features that differentiates it from other camera applications. Apart from all these, one can also capture photos or videos with various stickers created by them on the application.
This was the Phone preloaded application at SAMSUNG, which work on in Z Flip, launched in February 2020 and work on S20, Galaxy A Series.
ROLE
UX Designer / SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS
It was a team project of 2 designers such as UI and UX.
My responsibilities included defining problem space, creating the concept along with a future roadmap and designing the visual graphic screen of Deco Pic.
PAINPOINT
This project’s challenge was to propose a new UX corresponding to new form factor.
As the screen folds up and down, there are many UX elements that the app needs to solve. Especially in the case of the Camera app, its design is affected by the aspect ratio such as 1:1, 3:4, 16:9 and full. These various ratios are supported, and while the ratio is the perfect, it has to be designed in a position where the user can see the screen while looking at the camera
GOAL
Take a picture with your friends by folding the flip in half like cosmetics and placing it somewhere. With the phone in one hand, let’s make it possible to shoot with only motion. With Deco Pic, it's easy to take the perfect selfie since you can see the effect of each sticker before taking the photo.
Once you've taken your photo and applied all the changes you want, you can share it directly from the app. You can also turn your creation into a short video to share it through other social networks, like Twitter or Facebook.

FEATURE
[Emotion Mask]
It recognizes the user’s eyes, nose and mouth and applies the corresponding effect to the face. Also, as an interactive sticker, it becomes a fun means of play by supporting stickers that change according to facial expressions. There are stickers that simply imitate the shape, but by recognizing a person’s expression and providing an unexpected interaction according to the opening of the mouth and laugh, it surprises the user.

Once you take the photo, in addition to stickers, you can add text in the color of your choice. And you can use various 2D type stickers.

Selfie Motion Sticker is a photo-editing app that lets you add some fun to your selfies with a collection of over 100 animated stickers. And, once you're done, you can easily share your photos with all your friends in a way that's similar to Snapchat.
